I couldn't believe upon looking up Blind Pilot on MOG that there haven't been any posts on this duo.  So here I am to share another great music find that has been dropped in my lap. 

Israel Nebeker and Ryan Dobrowski produce a beautiful sound together.  I knew their sound was the sound, my sound, as soon as I heard the first few notes.  And then Israel's voice poured out of the speakers and hit my ear in such a comforting, soothing way that just felt right; I listened on. When a song is to my liking it usually means it caught my attention enough for me to give the song an entire listen.  This song did.  The song carried through, no overdone chorus to throw me off, and at the end I realized the song was more than some lyrics thrown together for the sake of euphony, there was a story that accompanied that simple, yet pleasing-to-the-ear acoustic sound.

I took a look further, checking out their MySpace page and popped over to their band website, and I continued to like what I was hearing: simple acoustic sound complemented with storytelling lyrics.  And I give these guys credit -- especially since I just got back from my second lengthy bike ride of the week that has left my quads and hamstrings aching --  they decided, last year, to venture out on a bike tour, which began in Vancouver and headed down south along the West Coast.  Yes, nothing but their two legs pedaling their little hearts out to bring music to those tucked in the nooks and crannies of those Pacific hugging states.  But it all ended in San Fran when their bikes got swiped; however, they ended up selling all of their EPs, which left them motivated to produce more.  The result was 3 Rounds and a Sound.
