Track:Where and When & Damn This Feeling
Hayden caught my attention when he opened for Feist in the beginning of May here in B-lo. I liked his style, his fun commentary in between songs and how he seemed to wear his heart on his sleeve. So, he came back to Buffalo, this time with his band. I have to say I enjoyed his performance much more when it was just him and his guitar, harmonica and piano. However, I will say the band does rock. It's just that his music touched me that much more when he was in the moement solo. Here are my two favorites of his. If you have the time check out the rest of the sad stories he shares through his music.Cheers.P.S. It's raining cats and dogs all of a sudden this evening. Oh how I love killer thunderstorms!P.S.S. Sorry about the quality of the second video-that's all there was. But it is definitely worth looking up else where to hear a cleaner version.

Hayden is definitely a one-of-a-kind song writer. His first formal album, "Everything I Long For" has some incredibly sad and somber songs. His storytelling has lost it's luster over the past album or two (especially this new one) but it's still all very good.
As for his best show I've seen, I'd say it was opening for Peru Ubu (sp???) - played a lot of stuff from the first two albums. He's really good talking to the crowd and his stories are always a hoot.
