I see the moon and the moon sees me...

You'll notice that to the left in my "songs you should be listening to" the song My Man My Moon sits patiently, ready to be heard. I'm sure many have heard the song before. It's fun and lovable. But really I'm just calling it out because I like it AND because it has the word moon in it. If you look out at the moon tonight it's a really neat sight. It almost looks like the man in the moon is smiling down on us all. I don't know why I've always been amused by this-something that would amuse a five year old-but at 27 I still think it's pretty neat that you can be hundreds and thousands of miles away from someone and be looking at the same thing at the same time...Goodnight from the East Coast.

  1. runobodyii says Nice post. And it is neat, looking at the same moon and all, even at whatever age. And thanks for the song, I need to be getting acclimated to Feist since looks like she'll hang around.

  3. HelenMarie says Yes, nice song, pictures and thoughts. "you can be hundreds and thousands of miles away from someone and be looking at the same thing at the same time..." Isn't it something...the sun and moon become so familiar. These thoughts come to my mind when I jog. The sun will be beaming at my face as I'm listening to a Groove Armada mix...and "What's Your Version" is my closer with these lyrics... "It seem like the same sun but it don't shine for everyone And it seems like that same rain drop never fall on each rooftop Seems like the same leaf never fall twice, never fall from the same tree Seem like the same old wind first come cool then warm again " (I don't know, a deep moment with a jog I guess...haha)

  4. Nella Mia Anima says No, believe me I'm in the same place when I run. It's very meditative...I love losing myself in a song. I'll have to add that one to my play list!

  6. Edmund Frost Booth says If you haven't heard it, her first album Monarch is pretty good. It is hard to find but worth seeking out. It is fascinating to see an artist emerge, progressing from album to album. Thanks for the post. Keep them coming.

  7. Nella Mia Anima says Thanks for the info. Edmund. I was unaware of that album, but now that I am I'll definitely make an attempt to find it! Have a great Friday. Cheers.
