Terra Nova.iLiKETRAiNSare an English post-rock band from Leeds..As befits music within the post-rock genre, their songs are composed of expansive orchestral and guitar-based sounds with complex lyrics. They are signed to Beggars Banquet, though their debut 'mini-album', "Progress Reform", was released on Fierce Panda Records in June 2006. The band recently announced that new single 'Spencer Perceval' will be released on the 26th of March on limited 10" and CD formats. The band also run a night at The Brudenell Social Club in Leeds called Signal Failure..On April 7th 2007, they featured on the early-hours music television programme The JD Set, which featured live performance clips and interviews. David Martin talked about how he wanted their music to have a "sense of location" and that this was lacking in music like "Godspeed and Sigur Rós"..The bands debut album, from which the single Spencer Perceval was taken from, is due to be released on the 1st of October in the UK and Europe and 9th of October in the US. It will be released through Beggars Banquet..The album is to be titled Elegies to Lessons Learnt and the next single, The Deception, is out on 10th September....and the videos are quite nice.....Spencer Perceval.Filling in the gaps. 2. supertopsecret says Great story in that first song. I am a little confused by "sense of location" ... I always new where Sigur Ros and Godspeed were form. I really hope I didn't sound like a jack ass. I don't think I follow mr David Martin very well. ) : These songs are great, I haven't listened to much post rock music in a while, this is getting me in that mood! Perhaps i will check out more iLIKETRAINS music on the net.

  3. Neill says I think that comment was made for a British audience about a British band singing about British history. (Usually the glorious failures, which we find much more interesting than the successes...LOL!)

  5. Augusts1 says "...and the videos are quite nice…." Especially if you like songs about death, which I do, heh. I wouldn't call the vids "nice" per se but they are fascinating & cool to watch as well as the music.
