UNKLE - War Stories.

.Burn My ShadowAfter the brilliance of UNKLE’s Psyence Fiction, their follow up, Never, Never Land took a wrong turn and ended up in a electronica dead end. Reversing back, they have now turned down the street named ROCK! with new album; War Stories. They still have the beats but the throbbing Restless and endearingly overwrought Burn My Shadow show the way. James Lavelle sings Hold My Hand lamentably enough to explain another slew of vocal collaborators, this time including The Cult's Ian Astbury, Massive Attack’s 3D and Queens of the Stone Age’s Josh Homme. The transition is more self-conscious than Lavelle might have wished, but although this is still very much a work in progress, UNKLE are now heading in an interesting direction…....Thanks to John Aizelwood at Q
