WHERE MUSIC LISTENS TO YOU

Kaiser Chiefs - Yours Truly, Angry Mob.

The Kaiser Chiefs on 4Music: Interview and The Angry Mob..Happiness. Some bands are just happy. Witness the Kaiser Chiefs who are obviously enjoying being rock stars and seem to be full of beans in every interview, Quiz show and DJ set they do, never mind the live performances. After selling over 2.5 million of their debut album Employment, they must now have enough money to put a deposit down on a UK home..Kaiser Chiefs - Ruby - Live @ NME Awards 2007..Second album, Yours Truly, Angry Mob (released 27th March in North America) sees them pushing on with more ‘Joie de Vivre’ even though some of the subject matter such as Boxing Champ, describes bassist Simon Rix getting beaten up. Chant along hit Ruby kicks it all off and the album is filled with choruses that you will find yourself singing along too at the must inappropriate moments.Employment was accused of being ‘gimmicky’ with far too many ‘Whoooahhs’ in to grab hold of new, live audiences, now though they are letting the songs do the all the grabbing. The Chiefs are not one-trick-ponies, Try Your Best and Love’s Not A Competition (But I’m Winning) are slower, more plaintive efforts that still highlight the excellent song writing on show here. While there are some great tunes and a lot to admire about this album, I just don’t have that all important feeling of love for the Chiefs, yet..Tracklisting;1. Ruby2. The Angry Mob3. 3. Anna says *trying to take eyes off Ricky* I agree with you, they seem to be enjoying what everything they do & I can't tell you how much I appreciate that, I hate the whole "oh it's so hard to be in a band attitude"; you chose it, freaking enjoy it, drama queens! I also agree with you on the fact of the important feeling of love. You know how much I fancy & enjoy them, but I do feel that their songs are more fun than significant. I want to see them make something that will stay, you know? And I believe that they can do that, if not for anything else, then just for what happens after 2:50 in Angry Mob... This is my favourite post of the weekend :)
