Little Boots - Again....This Time; Live!

Posted over 3 years ago

Another female singer from the UK who is about to have it large! Seems like Mad Cow Disease has fed through the system and has it's good points after all....(See Adele, Duffy and poor old Amy)

Blackpool's Victoria Hesketh, aka Little Boots, had her demo picked up by Hot Chip's Joe Goddard upon her move to London. He then produced her initial single Stuck on Repeat and more recently debut single proper, Meddle. Following her BBC Introducing performance at Glastonbury this year we predict big things for Little Boots.
She was the vocalist of Dead Disco.

Not bad for her first appearance on TV...

had posted the video earlier this week but didn't have all this info on her... I'm fallen for her no doubt.. BBC has her on the list of "The Sound of 09", artists to watch!  Likely she will do a full tour I hope and make s stop here, love this girl!

It seems that the ladies are the ones to look out for melodic soundscapes these days. Thanks for the introduction, Neill

I'm really digging her as well. She's the third 'rock star' I know of from Blackpool, after Ian Anderson of Jethro Tull and Roy Harper. Neither of those guys are conventional either. Is it something in the sea air?

Duffy and Adele are blah, but I always enjoy some Amy and some Little Boots :)

Admittedly, Adele looks like a bulldog licking piss of a nettle, but one more word about Duffy and I'll be MogMailing Dale for your address to send you a 'Xmas Card'!

Anna's always a good barometer of opinionated taste. [That's a complement, gorgeous.] So, good to see her view on Duffy, I was thinking I was in a minority. If I want to hear Dusty Springfield I have several platters that already fulfill that need very well. They're filed in the S section between Smiths and Stooges. Mail away!

I hope Amy's new studio sessions are going to give us something worthwhile - at least she's got enough weight on now to look human - in the meanwhile I'll dig Little Boots' walk and talk.

Aw thank you, Jonh! I'd elaborate more on Duffy, but Neill will hunt me down....

Didn't know Amy's back in the studio. Here's hoping!

Duffy is a little Welsh Sex Bomb, but yeah, she's a singer for hire while Amy is the real deal.......

Just came back to this ..because the "buzz" about her is ,almost laughably "mainstream" now ,(along with the embracing of "Twitter") ie things like "Woman's Hour" on radio four!.. i suppose the producers of such magazine progs are as desperately "web-headed" as we "MOGGers" are.
