I know it was for charity, but after paying £44 ($75) for a ticket to see Glasvegas at Mencaps, Little Noise sessions, I was expecting more than a 20 minute set without a encore. It seems I was not the only one thinking this as I heard a number of people complaining on the way out.
The only plus was that 'surprise' guests The Killers, only played 3 songs...

That's indeed a bit on the low side yeah. Bit of a downer. fun that The Killers at least were the special guests, not someone less appealing, and hey, at least you feel good now because you did something for charity. ;)
I'M RICH, I'M RICH!

That's too bad. When I saw them they played 45 minutes, and I still thought it was a short show. Oh well, you saw other bands with them, and you did your good deed for this decade, so it's not TOO bad.
Only 3 Killers' songs, lucky you. Were they all from the new album? If yes, 3 would be too many.....
They Killers played 3 songs including recent single Human, one from the first album (I was in the bar by then...) and a cover of Cindy Lauper's Girls Just Want To Have Fun.

On the evidence of their set on Jools Holland, the new Kilers album is AOK. anyway, they need our support - There aren't many straight Morman Americans who camp it up as much as Brandon Flowers...he needs to be encouraged.
Cheers, Neill!
John, I'm afraid I'm feeling very differently about their new album :/
BTW I've never seen pupils as dilated as Flowers' at Jools....

Hmmm, I'll have to take a closer look. Maybe he was high on all the excitement. 8-D
Beautiful version of Flowers... You'll be boasting to your grandchildren about attending this in a few years, I'll wager (okay, Anna will wager, she's the one with all the dough).
No, no, Glasvegas played a good set! It's just that they are a £20 band and to get only 20 minutes for £40 was a bit of a pisser.
(Music by the £.......)
...and then I came back from the bar to find the Killers doing'

charity or not, that is a bit on the lame side, if you ask me. It seems like they would want to reward the people who shelled out the money by makin them think it wasn't a waste ("waste" maybe not the right word, since it was for charity, but still . . .)
