WHERE MUSIC LISTENS TO YOU

The The

God! The lyrics, the lyrics;.The Twilight HourYou're laying on your bedAnd making shadows on the wallIt's almost too hot to moveOutside your windowPeople are driving home from workFor the weekendBut your waiting for the phone to ringYour gonna tell her exactly what you thinkYou practice getting your mouth around the wordsThat explain the way you feelYou've been scared to show your real selfIn case she doesn't like what she seesYou've been a prostitute to humilityShe's invaded your lifeAnd you've got to live apartIn order to surviveYou were emotionally independentBut starved of affectionBut now you've been trapped by tendernessAnd been beaten into submissionIt's now way past the hour she usually phonesYou've decided not to tell her your little jokeWhere could she have got to?Why is she torturing you?You roll on your sideAnd run your fingers through your hairYour scared of losing herAnd facing yourselfA red sky at night may be a shepherds delightBut your cutting chunks from your heartAnd rubbing the meat into your eyesShe can't leave you nowYou've given up all your friendsYou're relying on herFor your independenceShe can't leave you hereAlone and defenselessYou're relying on herFor your independence(x2)You're relying on her(xToFade)......and from the next album;Infected.I'm off for a good cry now.....(LOL!)

  1. Sureshot says I wore the "12" of Infected out. Got a cool picture disc of Dog's Of Lust from the Johnny Marr days though still. Matt Johnson is one hell of a songwriter.

  4. etcvisitor says and yes you read that right! "i bought a... tape cassette...a couple months ago" just want to make sure people understood that i do (and will continue to) purchase and listen to tape cassettes as long as they are cheap. a local place here has used tapes for fifty cents..

  6. A Horse With No Name says Such a criminally underated band....... Would love to make Bush and his pals listen to "Armageddon Days Are Here (Again)", that song scares me in how it seems to have predicted these troubling times.....
