It has long been suspected that every DJ is a frustrated musician, but rock stars seem to be turning into DJs. Bob Dylans 'Theme Time Radio Hour' highlighted this a couple of years ago but the are plenty more doing the same;
Steve Jones (Sex Pistols) is on Los Angeles KDLE-FM.
Guy Garvey (Elbow) is on bbc6music.
Tom Petty is on XM's Weekly 'Buried Tresure'
Bruce Dickinson (Iron Maiden) is on bbc6music.
Feel free to name some more......

Miami Steve Van Zandt on every rock station in America - and Sirius.
dude last night I saw andy rourke from The Smiths dj :)
No one holds a candle to Peter Hook.
Last one I saw was Mike Joyce from The Smiths, his set was rubbish!
Yeah, a lot of muscians DJ, but how many have regular shows on the radio?
funny, rock stars as djs seem more important news items here on mog as opposed to a great drummer almost losing his life in a plane crash.
Neill, OH! Somebody got derailed cough cough...
Kevin...I need more information. {???}
Doesn't Suzi Quatro work for the BBC as well?
By the way, Zane Lowe (BBC DJ, MTV VJ) would, I think, most certainly the 'frustrated musician' profile ;)
Fun Lovin' Criminal Huey Morgan is on 6 music now!
@Neill: great! I remember a year or so ago he presented BBC's "Never Mind The Buzzcocks" once and he seemed a total natural.
