There have been a few biopics recently that have been pretty good, notably Walk The Line and Control. Out in the UK this week is Sex & Drugs & Rock & Roll telling the story of Ian Dury. Now I know he is not that well known in the US but this film is getting rave reviews in the UK for Andy Serkis portrayal of Dury so it may be worth tracking down the DVD in a couple of months if this does not get a theatre release.....

Me too, LMI. Saw the trailer in your comment on Anna's post, Neill. It looks quite good - terrific cast, and seeming to honor Dury's memory, foibles and all.
What We Do Is Secret was pretty lame, but Shane West as Darby Crash was the best star in a music biopic this side of Jamie Foxx.
I'm looking forward to the Kilburn and the Highroads part of the film. I hope they do the band justice.
Yeah, looks interesting. I really don't like the title though. Surely Drury of all people could have inspired something less generic?
Hang on, FC - he invented the term. Surely that's enough reason.
