I love that people consider MGMT, White Stripes and Franz Ferdinand indie. It's really quite adorable.
I'm surprised Coldplay won back in 2002. Didn't seem to have paid attention back then I guess.
Marvin Gaye in '82 is pretty cool.
There's definitely a pattern that forms by the decade.
NME seems to want to get away from the majors by doing pysdo-majors in the past few years.
Overall, I see a nice variety over the years, although, yes - the 70's gets interesting indeed.
Also, is London Calling on the 70s list, the 80s list, or both?
The present decade sure isn't looking like the best in the bunch, which is more to do with who won. '74 - '79 though is plain strange.
