Top 20 tracks of 2007

Posted about 1 year ago
After posting my top 10 albums of 2007 on Dale's post, I was slightly embarrassed to see such a mainstream list! .01. Klaxon - Myths of the Near Future02. Interpol - Our Love To Admire03. Arcade Fire - Neon Bible04. Autokat - Late Night Shopping05. Editors - An End Has A Start06. Maps - We can Create07. Underworld - Oblivion with Bells08. Kings of Leon - Because of the Times09. Dragons - Here Are The Roses10. LCD Soundsystem - Sound Of Silver. At least six of these albums made it into the UK's Top 20 album chart sometime during the year so I've gone back and had a look at my top 20 tracks of 2007, which is slightly more interesting....11. Interpol - Pioneer12. Bloc Party - Flux13. Interpol - Rest My Chemistry14. xxTeens - Darlin'15. Dragons - Remembrance16. The Ting Tings - Thats Not My Name.17. Charlotte Hatherley - Behave.18. The Besnard Lakes - Disaster19. Maximo Park - Girls Who Play Guitars20. Gruff Rhys - Gyrru, Gyrru, Gyrru..Top 10 tracks tomorrow with numbers 1 & 2 by a band who hasn’t even released a album yet! ( ...and relax... cool again..);)

  2. Bartleby says Nice work Neill. I keep expecting to see the latest album by The Stooges or Take That - no one ever mentions them any more. I can see there's no Justice or Rhianna. And you dare call yourself mainstream.

  3. Bartleby says I forgot to mention that The Ting Tings are definitely on "to watch out for in 2008" list. (They were already the rage back in July at the summer festivals and I thought they would paint 2007 red)
