WHERE MUSIC LISTENS TO YOU

Glasvegas

Posted about 1 year ago
Out of Glasgow, Scotland, Glasvegas are busily hammering together the Surf Pop sound of Jesus and Mary Chain colliding with Phil Spector. As yet un-signed, I think you may hear more of them next year....Check out this video: Daddy’s Gone

  1. Bartleby says Hey, funny you should mention Glasvegas as it happened I was reading the Guardian who's also put them on their "to look up in 2008" list. Like their sound.

  2. QueenofHell says For some reason I heard about Glasvegas a long time ago and I'm not sure how. Not keen on that song, although it may grow on me.

  3. dachmo says Sorry Hell but I like the song quite a bit. Do you think they know that they look like "Combat Rock" era Clash, the singer is also a dead ringer for Joe Strummer, scary! I'll definitely keep and eye on these guys.

  4. QueenofHell says No need to apologise, Dachmo. I like their look and the video. And the sentiment of the song. But I'm not instantly grabbed by it.

  9. Augusts1 says Great name! I'm liking their other songs on their myspace page far better than this one. They also remind me of early The Mighty Lemondrops. Interesting, thanks.

  11. vannatta says DAMN! I thought they were showing some Joe Strummer home video footage or something... the resemblance is "raise-em-from-the-dead" scary.
