Radio Station to play album's in full, gaps an' all, with no interruptions

Posted over 2 years ago
Is this the first time this has happened?radio1 will be presenting four of the greatest albums of all time - works of genius; albums that have made an indelible mark on the musical landscape. As well as interviews and documentary material, Zane will play each album in full, gaps an' all, with no interruptions, so you can hear the masterpiece as it's meant to be heard. So which 4 albums?...

  1. Anna says Groundbreaking. It's not like it's something we can do it ourselves at home. LOL! But hooray for my monkeys.

  3. Lizziegreeneyes says WXPN (Philadelphia) has done something like this as well as 885 best artists...songs etc. Think it was a top 10, but I am not sure bout that !!! They are a public radio station out of the University of Pennsylvania. An interesting foursome selected by radio1...

  4. Dale says Great idea; I heard it done on rock radio back in the 80's, but not since. Back then, it was bands like Rush and Genesis getting all that love.

  6. dachmo says I'm kind of surprised with the Strokes being up there, I'm guessing they were much bigger over there then they were with us, or at least with me.

  8. chucky says I think it's a good thing. Maybe it'll make people think about albums they haven't heard in a good long while.

  9. Sam The Artist says really? the strokes? im even shocked monkeys made the list (puts on raincoat to block the thrown tomatoes). im guessing theres a certain genre they are following, because the white album not being up there is a crime. or anything by the beach boys.

  10. LadyC says wow thanks for the info. will it be more than the four albums i see featured? i honestly don't care that much for the monkeys and as much as i liked the strokes, there are certainly better albums.
