WE DO THE MASHED POTATO AND THE FUNKY CHICKEN

Nostalgia...with the Buzzcocks

Posted 9 months ago

I saw the Buzzcocks 3 or 4 times in the late 70's and then last Friday when they played cover-to-cover performances of March 1978 debut "Another Music in a Different Kitchen" and that year's September follow-up "Love Bites." Both albums, along with 1979's "A Different Kind of Tension," where reissued in the UK as two-disc editions with bonus tracks, demos and live cuts in 2008.

.

The tour, which takes its name from the two albums being performed also features other singles and B-Sides for the encore including Orgasm Addict and Oh Shit! .

Sing-a-long fun; who needs Karaoke? ;)

I LOVE the way "Operators..." changes time signature constantly..the drums are a "tour de force" on  "Love Bites"...

"Late for the train" takes a lot a whole lotta looseness.

    Cheers for the Fabchannel link...

Buzzcocks through the ages! Ripping! (Then again, "Harmony in My Head" is still in my Top 20 all-time songs.)

I love the "then" and "now" concept.

If a video surfaces from the London gig, I bet we'll be able to see you hop around and hear your harmonious screams :)
