Colour me good and funked!
It's a classic, unearthed! The Clash lived it! As a sidebar, I always got a kick out of Tom, and was sorry when he left this mortal coil a year or two ago. But, as long as video clips exist, we can always have one of his "colortinis" and, as he put it, "watch the pictures as they fly through the air."
Aw that is excellent. I remember listening to this when it came out and thinking this was one of my least favorite tracks, but vinyl doesn't let you readily skip tracks. And it took me about 15 years to figure out what a budgie was.
The 3 song cycle on the Clash Live at Shea Stadium (Magnificent 7, Armagideon Times, Magnificent 7) is just f-ing brilliant.

If ya think about it, this is like proto-Beastie Boys, or like the vaunted Run-DMC/Aerosmith rap/rock thing, isn't it?
