Drive By Truckers put on a great show. They play marathon sets filled with some amazing rock moments. How can you go wrong with three lead guitarists?! Outfit is still my favorite tune. Have never seen my other faves live though, Nine Bullets and Steve Mcqueen.
Bobby Bare Jr. is a unique mix of country, rock and punk. The songs are very well written; powerful, emotional, smart, and funny. I've seen him a bunch of times and he can be amazing or pretty shitty, mostly depending how drunk he is and the band he is playing with at the moment. But this bunch of guys he's got with him on this tour was amazing and he seemed really sharp. A few great all out rock jams and moments. Some quite trippy and powerful.

I saw Bobby Bare opening for...the Gourds, maybe? a few years ago...loved his songs. He reminds me a little of Kevn Kinney and when I tlaked with him after the set he confirmed that he's a Drivin n Cryin fan.
Love DBT...they've never made a consistant record, imho, but I love everything they do. Their writing is getting better with each record..
