Before you call me a blasphemer, check these guys out live and watch them blast their way through a two hour set filled with some seriously catchy and literate power popping rock.Sure, they were drinking bottles of water instead of beer after beer, but John Roderick was definitely channeling his inner Bob. The stage banter was obscenely witty and quick. The guy has a career as a stand up comedian if he wants it.Their last effort, When I Pretend to Fall, is filled with some very diverse songwriting and interesting production. But I was pleasantly surprised at how great everything sounded just stripped down and rockified, especially those tunes featuring the double les paul attack. The tune I'm attaching is a great one and well produced, but live it rocked a lot harder.
