Track:Never Enough
I love stumbling on a great local artist. My new publicist also represents this guy and he is a tasteful as hell songwriter.
Caught him at Rockwood last night. Laser tight band who had apparently not rehearsed in over a month. You never would have known it. Drummer plays with Sam Bisbee too; a phenomenal songwriter.
The tune Faraway, off his new record, was my fave of the evening. And live was kind of Petty meets Oasis. A very cool combo.
If I had to rank dudes in this town in this genre, I'd include my friend Alan Semerdjian and the one and only Paul Brill.
Would be nice if NYC were known for something other than hipster indie rock.
These gents could be the ambassadors of taste, and of course, I would have a private room in said embassy replete with a shag rug.
Here's a cool little vid for his tune Never Enough. I've got a tune from my unreleased Detroit LP with the same name that I've posted above.
Seems the both of us have similar problems with the ladies.
