Perspectives

Posted about 5 years ago
Vacations are great. They offer us different perspectives then we're capable of getting at home, with all it's routines and distractions. I just got back from Guangzhou where I celebrated Spring Festival (Chinese New Year) and made some Chinese New Year's Re-solutions. Just some basic stuff like, time management, following through on goals, not procrastinating; stuff like that...I didn't get very far though. (not yet) I'm still grinding forward though. I've been illustrating and listening to music more lately though, which helps a lot. Drawing is my meditation tool of choice lately because it's still too cold to spend too much time outside. (It's still too cold in Beijing to go for long walks along the romantic canal near my house, late at night, by myself in freezing temperatures)My friend Jay very timely-ly sent me a link to a website, right about the time I arrived back home, that deals with the above mentioned ideas and I really look forward to digging into it and seeing what it has to offer. http://www.stevepavlina.com/ "Personal Development For Smart People" (sounds like a challenge to me!)To be continued...Sad Truth!: Right before I hit the publish button, I accidently hit the back button and lost my whole blog. So what you see above had to be re-typed from my failing memory. Moral Of The Story!: I forgot what I wrote before... I guess it would be: Never touch the back button on your web browser when you're writing blogs. Small Tid-Bit To Let You Know How Serious This Is: I've been procrastinating reading an article about overcoming procrastination. Good Advice!: Don't click any of the links below if you have something you need to do today.
