Eminem was the most surprising to me, then I remembered I loaded his avail discography from MOG into a playlist one day. Similar situation with Sam Cooke but I also discovered through someone on MOG, I believe, Sam's "One Night Stand" album which is amazing. I listened to Otis because somehow in my mind he is always linked to Sam and my brother and I were arguing over which is better, until my aunt told us you can't really compare the two. Camu Tao's only and posthumous album was interesting for many reasons. The main one being you can here his style on a lot of the emerging punk-rap records (Eydea & Abilities, P.O.S, and most directly Cage's newest album) F+TM's record is just so fun and my wife likes it so I can get away with playing it around her (I sometimes force my wife to listen to music she probably never would listen to otherwise.) SSLYBY's album was a lot of fun and it didn't hurt they are from one of my home towns, big ups to Springfield Mo. The Limousines are just a fun band and Very Busy People could easily be a theme song to my generation. (it will play if you search it in the player.)
What has everyone else been jamming out to recently?

The most frustrating thing to me about LastFM is that my iPod does not always scrobble and most of my listening is through my iPod. Now when I look at my top 10 I know it is off.
i have scrobbled my ipod for over a year no problems however you do have to wait for a list when updating and not disconnect until it appears
Which iPod do you have? I would imagine with your collection you have the Classic with a lot of tracks. I have the classic with 23,000 tracks on it. I thought maybe the amount of tracks was slowing it down.
i have 80 gig and yes its full around 15,000 and it does take awhile to load only because i only update 1X a week
man I love lastfm. been using it since last nov. and love the scrobbling feature. of course i still use cd's and other media sometimes that don't scrobble but it tracks all my itunes stuff well if i remember to make sure and sync after offline use and of course mog scrobbles flawlessly. I used to switch back and forth between pandora and lastfm and though i do like some of the pandora player features better, i don't use it much these days.
a pretty diverse listening selection for sure, surprised by SSLYBY, they are a local band to me, didn't even think about them being on mog or last fm.

You've given me a few new artists to explore, thanks Bilbo. I did not know 3 of yours Clifford Brown, Lee Morgan, and Stan Kenton.
3 good ones to explore. I have a clifford brown playlist that's has several of my favorite clifford cuts if you want to check it out. http://mog.com/playlists/235463
Lee Morgan's Sidewinder album is one of his best and i recommend New Concepts of Artistry in Rhythm as good place to start with Stan Kenton
I created a playlist of all your reccs and I'm looking forward to exploring the artists music. Thanks!
love seeing atmospere on your list
I love hearing Atmosphere in my Ears, they dropped a new double EP today "To All My Friends, Blood Makes The Blade Holy: The Atmosphere EPs" I got mine pre-ordered and I'm looking forward to it. I haven't been blown away by Slugs flow lately though I am keeping an open mind as I've never been disappointed before.
one of the lead tracks "Freefallin'"
Lee Morgan's Sidewinder is one of my favorite albums. It's such a classic. Nate D, ever heard about Dexter Gordon? He was an awesome sax player from that era, often overlooked. Check out some of his albums: Our Man in Paris, Doin' Allright, Go. Ballads is another album I love to play on Sunday mornings.
I really enjoyed the reccs @BB, Sidewinder was really good. As a hip hop fan the drums of Max Roach were magical.
@Briangm I never have heard of Dexter Gordon. I will check them out for sure, putting another playlist together now.Thanks.
