MUSIC SIGNPOSTS ON THE WEB'S LONELY ROAD

I was kinda bummed when I heard Analyse on the credits of the Prestige. The movie wasn't awesome, but the song is. Don't get me wrong, it was a good movie... but the song is a bit out of the shows league. And, it didn't really fit - time period wise. I listen to Thom Yorke way too much in my car. I'm waiting to get sick of it, but that time ain't coming soon.

My experience was different. I hadn't listened to Eraser in a couple weeks, but really wanted to see The Prestige. I loved it, and when I heard Analyse played at the beginning of the credits, almost gave a loud "HELL YEAH." I quickly ran home and played Eraser again, and it's been in the rotation for these past few weeks...so much that I'm almost sure it's my favorite album of 2006 (with stiff competition from Joanna Newsom).

I have ti agree with NOLA, but in the opposite way. The song really didn't belong in the movie, but I don't think it's a good song. I think it's an interesting song but kind of like the inside of a dog cadaver. It's fascinating for a little while, then it just kind of becomes a sickening mess.
