Muse, Bjork, Tom Waits, Basement Jaxx, M.I.A.

I was reading someone's entry on the glory of seeing Muse live and it occured to me that I've never got my butt into gear into see them. How rubbish am I? The same applies to Bjork and Tom Waits. Bjork in particular is a shameful failure. Tom Waits less so 'cos last time he came to the UK he wanted me to pay sixty quid (about $120) for the ticket. Cheeky sod.Last year I managed to cross off Basement Jaxx and M.I.A. but both of these we tempered by the difficulty of shaking my booty in 18-inches of Glastonbury mud. But if I get hit by a bus tomorrow without seeing Muse live I'm gonna be well miffed. Is their anyone else who is perplexed by their failure to see a certain band?

Lady Miss Ian says Hey Red -- funny you mention Bjork. I was just going to post recently announced tour dates. I'm going to try to scrape up what I can and see her, but I'm sure the tickets are pricey. I, like you, have been kicking myself in the butt about bands/artists I've missed live.

Anna says Muse for me as well...but it's not my fault..they haven't been here yet...and I will be in London while they have 2 shows there...both sold out.. /mascara tears...

Lizziegreeneyes says Jeff Buckley ... and I never will get a chance - tears roll down. I even went to the one show he had at the TLA and tried in vain to obtain tickets from anyone who had an extra ... must have known somehow that it might be the only chance ... Faith No More/Mr. Bungle (and I haven't lost hope for either - as I thought I'd never see the Pixies live) when they came back around after all those years I snagged my chance - I may have had crapass seats - but for me it was all about the music, baby !!! MUSE & Queens of the Stoneage are also two I'd love to see. Bjork will be at the Electric Picnic this year, along with Jesus and Mary Chain, Iggy and the Stooges, LCD Soundsystem, Modest Mouse, Sonic Youth, Clap You Hands Say Yeah - and quite a few other impressive folks and a nice melding of older with newer ... Now THAT's a festival I can sink my teeth into and come back with something meatier !!! ;-) The Website for this fest is at www.electricpicnic.ie
