Listening to Dada's album "Puzzle", and finding it hard to believe that Dada is not a household name. The guitar work is stellar on every track. For those of you who missed this Venice, California-based trio, you might want to give it a listen. I originally discovered them by accident when I bought a pair of Vans sneakers in Santa Monica and they were included as one of 10 bands on a promotional IRS Records compiliation. Been hooked ever since. I contacted the band manager about directing a music video and was told to check back in two weeks. When I called IRS Records I was surprised to find out the phones were disconnected and IRS was no longer in existence. Bad timing on my part. I had a whole concept of the band swimming in a pool with thousands of glow sticks you take camping. Netx time, I guess.
