Some time ago, after a long period of listening to the incomparable Miles Davis (& loving it) I started to think about present day trumpet players and realized that I really didn't know any. So I went searching and discovered Erik Truffaz. I really like his blend of Jazz, electronics and occasional rap.I did find other players worthy of mention. I'll try to get to them at some point with some recommended listening. for now, I'm enjoying all the albums from Truffaz (haven't picked up his new one yet (Arkhangelst), but like the sound of it. This track is from the album "Mantis"
