Not often do you hear wah wah guitar in a song with a country beat, but this song breaks that mold. I like this guy-What do you think? I'm going to chek out more.
Here's a bit from the BIo:
Grayson's songs are often inhabited by prostitutes, alcoholics, vagrants and drifters, while his live performances are ignited by equal doses of raucous Southern soul, back-country stomp and roadhouse blues.
The album's title Rott 'N' Roll originated from fans as a description of his music, but for Grayson it has come to represent the state of mind needed to play uncompromising roots music as a means for survival in the Dirty South. It's the yin and yang between the debauchery of life on the road and the come down upon returning home. Yet as the album's opening track "Back To The Country" makes clear, when Rott 'N' Roll is the credo, even the ease of going home means, "eating cornbread and raising hell."
