This song struck me, due to the Lennon type simple piano and the Harrison like guitar. Real nice tune- and the others are just as good.
From Her Bio:
Taking that hard-earned courage in hand, A Girl Called Eddy has come-up with an extraordinary debut record full of romance, elegance, sophistication and shimmering melodies that is certain to appeal to fans of the likes of Beth Orton and Aimee Mann.
The songs betray the influence of many of her musical heroes, from Bacharach and McCartney to Scott Walker and Brian Wilson via Todd Rundgren and the Carpenters. But they also reveal her as a unique voice and a disarmingly original talent who draws on her experience to create a series of highly personal and yet universal vignettes that are deeply moving and yet retain an irresistible pop sensibility.

Great post - this a great CD. She's an excellent singer-songwriter. Kind of a throwback, even her CD cover looks like a worn LP that's been in your collection for awhile. You pick a good song, too.
I saw her a few years ago in a double bill with Keren Ann and she sound pretty good -- although she apologized for using a tape machine saying she was touring on "a shoestring.
Yup, it's a great one all right. So where is album no. 2? I'm waiting!
Ohhhh, I really like this. Her voice is gorgeous and those George Harrison-esque guitars are lovely. The artwork is great too. A lot of thought (dare I say love?) went into the entire production. Thank you for sharing this.
