Saturday Night Live - DELANEY, BONNIE & FRIENDS

Posted 3 months ago
  • Artist:
    DELANEY, BONNIE & FRIENDS
  • Album:
Live at Colston Hall, Bristol, UK, December 2, 1969

When Dave Mason intro'd this show, he referred to it as Eric Clapton And Friends. Perhaps this concert was in total, but these tracks are most surely featuring Delaney and Bonnie. This is a soundboard recoding, not an official release, so it's not perfect, but it is still a fun, energetic show for MOG to enjoy and to remember the magic that was Delaney and Bonnie. At the end of I Don't Know Why, they say they just recorded Where There's A Will..., so they are fresh from the studio at the time of this recording. Here are the players you'll be enjoying.

Lineup:
Bonnie Bramlett - vocals

Delaney Bramlett - guitar, vocals

Eric Clapton - guitar, vocals
Dave Mason - guitar
Carl Radle - bass guitar
Bobby Whitlock - organ, keyboards, vocals
Rita Coolidge - backing vocals
Jim Gordon - drums, percussion
Tex Johnson - percussion
Bobby Keys - saxophones
Jim Price - trombone, trumpet, horns

Really sweet sound thanks for posting. The start of Eric's solo career came from this friendship.

For so many people on stage that is a very tight sound. Great to hear with such quality as well - soundboard?
