Would You Like Some Beatles With That Turkey?

If you picked up the latest remastered box sets, you know there was a mini documentary of the making of each album (or so I'm told). Well, according to the BBC, those are excerpts from The Beatles on Record, a new full-length documentary chronicling the making of each of the band's 13 albums. It is said to have even more rare and unseen footage of the Fab Four.

Here in the states, it is planned to debut on Thanksgiving Eve on the History Channel and then repeat at various times after the initial airing. Keep an eye out for it in your time zone- most likely at 10PM.

The film is directed by Bob Smeaton, who gave us the Beatles Anthology 8 part series, so it should be pretty good.

This and the new live McCartney CD/DVD should be a real nice gift for the holidays. Since I have not yet put out the cash to get the BIG BOX, I welcome seeing what I've been missing not having it.

Did you pick up the box? If so, where are all your posts?? Are you excited to see this film??? Set the DVR!

I love that particular Beatles song - nice to hear it again.  was never a huge fan - probably too young & it's not often I get to say that -, but one day last spring I was listening to Dear Prudence & I suddenly "got" them - quite the epiphanic moment

by the way, would someone please pass dmdm a splif?

Hey Mark, VCRs work too or just watching it as it's broadcasted. No need to wait for a DVD.
