WHERE MUSIC LISTENS TO YOU

Instructions For Using in.solit.us For Uploading

Posted 3 months ago

Some of us have already started using in.solit.us and we have it pretty well figured out. But I know there are more of you that would like some simple instructions as to how to use it, so here goes.

If you post embed player code and for some reason the player doesn't work, paste this code

&height=50&width=250" />

to the end of the code and it should fix it.

O.K. ready?

Register and log in. Most of us are just using our MOG names, or a portion, as our login name- I'm RX.

On every page, you will see this at the top. Click the "upload file" link to get started.

You will be taken to a page where you enter the song title (this can be anything you like, without any apostrophes)

Next, choose your track by clicking Choose files

This should pop up or something like it, just like when posting via MOG.

Once your track is selected, click the Upload files! button

While uploading you will see Upload staring...

When it's done, the page changes to show you your song in the player and the code underneath.

Just drag all the way to the right and copy the code in the box. You should see the code ending at width=250" />. If you don't see that code at the end, then add this to the end

&height=50&width=250" />

If you got that far, you are golden. Drop the code in your post and you are done. If you didn't get that far, MOGmail me for help.

Give it a try and let me know if you need further assistance or where you are getting lost. If this is too much to remember, there are a few other services that give you 5GB of free space and a player to embed. If you'd like to try those instead, just MOGmail me for the links.

I'll be looking for your first in.solit.us post!

I'm using them..seems to work just fine and dandy.  Is two weeks up yet?

For me it or divx are top notch when you have multiple files for a post, which I often do.

Those two weeks should be up pretty soon, I would think. And then, this will be a back-up source for the next time MOG is without uploading. You just know this won't be the last time.

Tag and Wiz- MOG is in the midst of a new version and had to disable the uploading while they reconfigured the servers for the next big version upgrade.

It was only supposed to be a few weeks, but it's gone on longer than that. Hopefully we will see the next generation of MOG soon, before everyone bails.

DMDM, did you go to the site, register and sign in? If so, did you then see the "upload file" link at the top of the page? If so, let me know where you are lost. What step did I lose you on?

Once you click that button, the page will change and you will see the area where you upload your file. Put a title in, like DM1, then choose your mp3 by clicking that button "choose file". Find your file like normal, then click "upload files!"

Let me know if you can get that far.

Thanks Rx, I'll ad this one to my other one's. So far I imeen, & Air mp3 work for me, but I've notice one site will have a song that another doesn't. lala, & Last FM seen to just give you a sample of a song most of the time. They do link up to whole song on their site usually.

BTW I go by rgmrgm, or Deadmans Orchestra on other sites, like last FM, or Multiply. RGM seems to be a popular selection for a screen name. I just joined early on here on Mog when I got RGM.

Thanks for your input RGM. So you go by rgmrgm kind of like like deadmandeadman, huh? Interesting. Thanks also for the links.

DMDM- tell me where you are getting lost. I know I can help you find your way. MOGmail me if you like. Tell me what step you got lost on. We'll go from there.

cpetersonart3, let me know if you have any issues.

Your welcome. I just joined in.solit.us a, I'm rgm on their. Guess it wasn't taken. The site is cool, but not what I expected. Kind of remonds me of Media Fire.

I've not been on Media Fire, but as long as apostrophes don't get in the way of the code, the players at this site are real easy to embed and there's unlimited space and no file deletes. It is in beta though, so maybe the code thing will be fixed in the final release.

Is media fire unlimited space and does it come with player code? I'll have to check that out. I'm still looking for a real simple source with no glitches, unlimited space, a simple player and no file deletes.

Anyone that knows of any, pop a link in the post for all to try that service!

I haven't messed with media fire that much. I get a little lost on there. I find the instruction's on media fire a bit confusing.

There's also Megaupload, I've only used it to send my bass track I recorded to a guitar player. You are suppose to be able to upload some pretty big bit files on there.

Yeah, they are good for storing files, but I'm not sure if they have embeddable players. I'll have to check that out.
