Put It Where the Sun Don't Shine

Artist:
J.J. Cale is back with his 14th solo CD and it's a good listen.
"Roll On is JJ Cale's first batch of new solo material since 2004's To Tulsa and Back and comes on the heels of his gold selling 2006 collaboration with Eric Clapton, The Road to Escondido, which also earned him his first Grammy. Comprised of 12 new songs, including the previously unreleased title track recorded with Eric Clapton, Roll On finds Cale still in love with making music and passionately creating future classics that he'll one day tuck into his very own chapter of the Great American Songbook." Wow, this sounds great, as usual. As much as I like and respect Clapton's talent, I really think he owes J.J. pretty much the second half of his career. Talk about climbing aboard for a free ride!!! I recall a conversation in which somebody told me how much the J.J. Cale song playing in the background sounded like Eric Clapton. I was out the door in seconds.
And, to continue on a theme:
Love JJ and have made a number of posts of his stuff.
Good to hear he still has that groove goin!
Thanks!
@dermahrk - this is the first thing that popped into my mind when I saw the post header!! You are da man
nordico- Clapton does owe him a lot- I'm glad he doesn't mind Clapton sounding like him now or there's probably be some law suites.
Mark- I love that song! Thanks for adding on.
