Blog post image preview Forget Ferris Bueller. Forget "Oh Yeah". Yello is a million times cooler than than song on that soundtrack from that movie. Their visuals were always as saturated, rich, funny and perverse as their lyrics. "I Love You", from their 1983 LP "You Gotta Say Yes To Another Excess" is a perfect example. It's kind of a drag that Yello are not spoken of in the same revered tones as other electronic music acts from the late 70's to mid 80's - I think it has a lot to do with that on... MORE

I remember watching this video on some late night video show crashing at a friends house in LA. One of those Im too drunk and high too nights, changing channels and coming across this gem.I haven't heard of Yello at the time(83-34)but it left a mark. The next day I ran to Licorice Pizza(yea it was a record store chain in Southern Cali)and bought "You have to say yes to another Excess". Good times come to me now!
