Awhile ago I said I was going to run for President of the United States in Pennsylvania. Even though Tindersticks is releasing their new album (The Hungry Saw) this week, I think they will have to wait (after all, We had to wait a long time for it).
I found this artist a while ago. Can't remember even how..
He's amazing and his albums are beautiful.

Willy Mason is an exceptional folk-rock kind of artist. He's young and passionate and his music reflects real thoughts and feelings. No jive. Check out this track, "When The River Moves On," off his recent and second album, If The Ocean Gets Rough. Just so all the cards on the table here, my son co-manages Willy Mason (he also co-manages Bob Pollard of Guided By Voices fame, the French Kicks, Detachment Kit and others, so you know he's got good taste). I've had Willy Mason's album 'If The Ocean Gets Rough' for a month or so now and I just can't stop listening to it. The whole album is amazing, there's not one dud track on it. It's difficult to pick out a favourite track, but if I did, I'd have to say...Riptide. It's just gorgeous and it also happens to be my most played track on my ipod at the moment.
This album could well be a number one contender in my top ten albums of 2007. Definitely.

After overloading on nothing but Coachella artists for the past month, it is nice to get to check out some of the stuff I have been reading about here. Take the new Willy Mason album for instance, Jox did a great write up on this disc earlier http://mog.com/Joxley/blog_post/52839 I am such a sucker for good singer/songwriter stuff. Willy Mason Is an american singer songwriter and etc. He is a folk rock type stuff ( I hope I do not offend Mr. Mason) singer. One of his bestest songs is a track from Where The Humans Eat entitled Oxygen. In the words of my current grade nine teacher, "This song is mesmerizing." I heartily agree. Some other great songs from his non self titled album include Sold My Soul, Fear No Pain, and the Title Track Where The Humans Eat. I reccomend this album to any one who enjoys m... MORE

this is the new Willy Mason song. i think its great. the video is fantastic. its a fan video and completely different to the real one, but that isn't kicking around the internet and i prefer this one. anyone else digging it? ha! i said 'dig' in a completely non-ironic way!

Although the majority of Willy Mason fans will no doubt be revelling in the delights of the new album, i myself am still stuck on the first album. Im not taking anything away from this second album because i think whatever Willy Mason puts his voice or lyrics to is pure genius, but there is something raw and simple about 'where the humans eat'. I guess it could be the fact that the majority of the songs were recorded in very few takes. Whatever. I cant stop listening to it... MORE
