I'd like to say, WORK F'ING SUCKS. Now that that's behind me (at least until tomorrow) I would like to pontificate a bit about last Saturday at the Download Festival.First, I had the immense pleasure of meeting another MOGGER, this time Tybees who was a wonderfully nice guy. So, Wilco (pretty much my favorite band) is coming to Little Rock to play Robinson Auditorium on September 18th.
I would have been a lot more excited to hear this news if the day before I had not acknowledge to my wife that my concert budget was shot for the year. The White Stripes and Ryan Adams shows within a couple weeks of each other cleaned me out. They were great shows, and I was happy to end my concert fiscal year on these two ear-piercing and beautiful notes.

Wow, it took me 2 weeks to write this post, probably the time I needed to recover from this amazing show from Wilco in Paris. Carla Bozulich was opening for them on this short end of the European tour, needless to say I was kind of hoping that Nels Cline would join her on stage for old time's sake (as members of The Geraldine Fibbers and as former lovers...).Well, he actually played during most of her very brief but intense set, Glen Kotche joined them as well for one s...
