It's not been a long time since the beautiful Scots - Travis released their long-time anticipated 5th studio album The Boy With No Name which to me has been underrated within the ocean of new records drifting all around in 2007- and maybe due to the not spot on single choices. Fans would know how long we had to wait for that rescue record to take Travis out of shadow after more than 3 year of wait following 12 Memories (aka musical perfectness no matter what 'they' say). A ye... MORE

Well, I am back to mog for another round. I just kind of forgot about mog because of school and stuff. Oh well, all that matters is I am back and I will be dedicated. I really don't know what to talk about for once...Hmm...I shall think of something, but hello for now. I will make a list, I suppose, for my next post.... MORE

I can't sleep tonight
Everybody saying everything's alright
Still I can't close my eyes
I'm seeing a tunnel at the end of all these lights Sunny days
Where have you gone?
I get the strangest feeling you belong
Why does it always rain on me?
Is it because I lied when I was seventeen?
Why does it always rain on me?
Even when the sun is shining
I can't avoid the lightning I can't stand myself
I'm being held up by an invisible man
Still life on a shelf when\... MORE

Baby, you've been going so crazy
Lately, nothing seems to be going right
Solo, why do you have to get so low
You're so...
You've been waiting in the sun too long But if you sing, sing, sing, sing, sing, sing
For the love you bring won't mean a thing
Unless you sing, sing, sing, sing Colder, crying on your shoulder
Hold her, and tell her everythings gonna be fine
Surely, you've been going to early
Hurry, cause no one's gonna be stopped But if y... MORE

... the mog-o-sphere for awhile.
Let's say I'm leaving this body to become an ethereal form... and return to my planet, where I must accomplish a mission. No mog, no multiply, no aim, no nothing – sorry dears. (The truth is, I won the lottery and I'm going out to spend my ass – so by the time I get back it means I'm broke, again)... MORE

The Scottish Travis have admitted taking the chords from Oasis's "Wonderwall" to use in their 1999 single "Writing To Reach You." The song was the group's fist single off of The Man Who, an album which brought them international recognition, as well as 'best group' and 'best album' in the 2000 Brit Award. Songwriter Fran Healy figured Noel Gallagher would approve of the borrowing. Talking to Britain's XFM , Healy said: "I remember trying to play a song by a ba... MORE

I've got over 200 unread MOG notifications in my MOG email folder now. Holy Frijoles - How am I ever going to get around to commenting on all those great posts? I thought everyone was on summer MOG vacation? Ok, I guess I'm going to have to hole up with a jug of wine and bag of chips tonight and get to typing. So, how do YOU keep up with the MOG -A-Lanche?

Travis cover The Band's The Weight
Lead singer Fran Healy from Travis told Rolling Stone in a spring 2000 issue that Music From Big Pink is their favorite album. They recorded "The Weight" as a "B-side" to their U.K. single "Coming Around", released 2000.... MORE

Such a great band...such a great show...I nicked the setlist from the sound board in the middle of the show (I think they had a few extras)

Last night I saw Travis, just two weeks shy of 10 years since I first saw them (at Brownies. Yes, I'm awesome). The show was great. I really like the new album quite a bit (and I've only really liked Good Feeling — which STILL holds up on a roadtrip — and The Man Who, so that's saying something), that Demetri Martin "Selfish Jean" video is far more entertaining live, and remembering to scream at Dougie's verse in "Turn" came right back to me like I last did it y... My first time trying on mog and it works really good.
Ok, i'm recently hooked on Travis: The Boy With No Name. For those who have NO idea, go hear 'Selfish Jean' and 'Closer' from their album. Then you'll probably think Travis should hit the charts.... MORE
