Next up on my trip down my musical memory lane, The Pretenders! Chrissie Hynde was who I aspired to be like in my early teens; smart, tough, tell-it-like-it-is woman on her own terms. Their first album was (and still is) an oft-played part of my collection. I won't post my first choice, Precious, due to possibly offensive language. My criteria for a criminally underrated song is it has to appear less then 10 times in mixes at artofthemix.org. The Pretenders aren't really underrated as a group with their Rock and Roll Hall of Fame entry but I never see this song mentioned anywhere. A Day On The Green at the Bimbadgen Estate Winery is one of the most special events you can ever attend.
