Working the REM concert a few weeks ago I was more interested in opening act the National than either REM (love em) or the Mouse (not so good live if you have not experienced). I've been a fan since Mr. November crossed my Ipod last year. Since I have siphoned in everything I can find and have read amazing things about the band live. I was lucky enough to catch half the short set and was especially blown away by the live version of Fake Empire, which is duly represented on... MORE
this guys vocals remind me of the late johnny cash, either way this is a band every indie fan should check out. =)
January is just such a cruel, cruel month. Maybe not for you guys who were at the mog meeting, but for me it certainly was. They Beat Alligator! I am trying to stay cool here, but it’s difficult. Boxer has just shouldered its brawny way to the top of my so-far-in-2007 list. Brooding, dark, hopelessly romantic, superlatively rock whe... MORE
