Soo..i checked my profile today and my age was auto-updated to 20 (cool, right -.-). I'M NOT 20 YET!! Still 4 days have to pass 'till that happens. The number '1' in front of my 2digit age is what i want. It could be 10 or 19. But 20?! Godver.
The Killers’ music never sounded particularly dangerous to me, lots of angst and "woe, she left me" - nothing like what I expected just from their name. So this selection, heard by me for the first time today on Sirius Satellite Radio, was a pleasant surprise; I was IMPRESSED. My daughter and I decided to buy the album, but I couldn’t wait. This evening, I did a little research and discovered that it’s a collaboration with Lou Reed, and all was explained. Hope you en... MORE

Ahhh, it feels good to be excited about The Killers again. Even its only because a b-side release proves that their old stuff is better than the Sam's Town accident. Shame on whatever producer convinced Brandon Flowers and co. to move away from the sleazy-melancholy and glitzy synth rock that made Hot Fuzz so memorable. Thankfully, the gems on Sawdust weren't locked away in the vaults for too long for me to lose hope. But there's more here than just Hot Fuzz-ish neo pos... MORE
If David Bowie had an illegitimate bastard and sent it to be raised by Vikings, then this little bastard started a band with a 17 year-old Dungeons and Dragons enthusiast, a coyote, and a disgruntled former member of The Strokes, they might produce an album similar to Sawdust, the newest offspring of The Killers. Sawdust has 18 songs, some of which you may have heard versions of elsewhere, as they do a covers of Joy Division’s “Shadowplay,” and Kenny Rogers and the First E... MORE

I've never done this before (as far as I know), so I think it is high time that I do something. I am creating a Top 20 albums of 2007 list (I tried top 10, but just couldn't do it), but in a different way. It is not a Top 20 list of albums that came out this year, but the Top 20 albums that I have heard this year, regardless of when the albums actually came out. Yes, some of the albums did come out this year. Probably most of them , actually. But it only makes sense t... MORE
Last Killers post....You will not find this song on Sawdust. I dont know when it was recorded. I dont even know how to describe it really.
With lyrics like:
now were friends, say goodbye
I think there's something in my eye
Brandon has come a long way!
