So Travis Barker hooked up with The Game to create one of my favorite songs this summer, Dope Boys. The track is going to be the second single off Game's upcoming album L.A.X.
Travis Barker shot an unofficial performance video to the song last month, but a higher budget version will be serviced to video outlets soon. The first video below is Travis' low budget version, and the video at the very bottom is a behind the scenes look at the yet-to-be-released rendition.

During an interview with Music Choice, a visibly choked up Game expressed his frustrations with the inactivity from the hip hop community when it comes to social issues. You can see the entire thing unfold in the video below, or simply read a quote at the bottom of this post. "I reached out to alot of artists and I told 'em what I was gonna do for Sean Bell and alot of them just... I got a gang of excuses. Nobody wanna stand up and be a man. We don't have a p... MORE
The Game appeared on Caron Daly's talk show last night to discuss why he's retiring from hip hop and his plans to let fans design a new tattoo. Being on the road touring has obviously taken a huge chunk out of his "daddy time" and he wants to be there to drive his kids to karate class every day. Being that he grew up in a Foster home, I imagine it's really important that he devote more time to his children than the average musician.
The Game's two sons, Harlem Caron, and King Justice (yes, those are their real names) will appear on the cover of L.A.X. Before you say he's biting Lil Wayne with the baby thing, remember Harlem appeared on the cover of The Documentary's special edition in 2005 (pictured at the bottom of this post).

"Pain" falls JUST short of being a huge Cali summer anthem. The song is good, its pleasant, and Keyshia sounds great on the track. However, I think it's missing that ONE ingredient it needs in order to become a huge hit.
I hope I'm wrong though, can't wait to hear L.A.X.
The Game kicked it with Funk Flex for 20 minutes and talked about the creation of his new album.
One interesting thing about the collaborations on Game's album is that they were all done in-studio together. In today's world of music, most rappers just exchange .mp3s and never actually meet in person to do a song.
For the drama fans out there Game also touches on Suge Knights fight, and 50's chain snatching in Angola.
First up is a super low budget video for "911 Is A Joke" from The Game. This is a straight-to-internet affair, intended solely for the members of Game's official website. 911 Is A Joke is a song made after the controversial verdict in the shooting death trial of Sean Bell. Next is G-Unit's video for "I Like The Way She Do It". Although this video was released straight to the internet also, It's not as low budget as the clip above. This will be the first single ... MORE
Big Dreams was recorded immediately after Game's whopping 8-day jail sentence (he gets no points for that, Paris Hilton stayed behind bars longer). The reason I mention the jail is because the energy on the track is crazy. You can tell he had been sitting around for a while and just wanted to get in the booth and wild out. The craziest part of all this is, Big Dreams is the best single The Game has released since "One Blood" and according to him, it may not even make the... MORE
The Game was released from jail after only 8 days for pulling out a gun in a school zone, but he's not done with the courts just yet. Shannon "Royal" Rodrick is suing The Game for punching him in addition to pulling out the gun. Rodrick's lawsuit claims that "he suffered extreme and severe mental anguish and humiliation from the incident as well as physical injuries." The sponsors who put on the basketball event are also named in the suit because they "neglected to protect... MORE
After days of back and forth conflicting statements from lawyers, managers, and jail representatives, we can finally confirm he IS a free man. The Game was released on March 10th after just 8 days of incarceration. Today, Game released a statement to Allhiphop.com apologizing to fans for the confusion and misinformation.
"I apologize….but due to the sensitive negotiations on this matter I felt it appropriate not to give an exact date on my release," The Game said in a state... MORE
