Streetlight Manifesto on Tour with Reel Big Fish and Less Than Jake

So I went to see a sweet ska show last night at Marquee in Tempe. I didn't know what to expect from Less Than Jake and Reel Big Fish. I've been seeing all their shows since I was a kid but I didn't really like either of their new albums. Both bands put on great performances that were just as good as I remembered. They both played a lot of older songs and some newer songs that sounded a lot better than the recordings. Reel Big Fish did a cover of the Cure's "Boys Don't Cry" an... MORE

When will you stop being good? Honestly, I'm listening to this CD, and I'm asking it that. It refuses to answer, which might be partially due to the fact that it's an inanimate object... Not even, really, as it's really just pieces of data which are electricity or something... Either way, it refuses to stop being awesome. I highly recommend it to anyone and everyone. Only not really, as if you totally hate ska, then you'll be like "Hey Gimpster, your music sucks. Go die in a ... MORE

    Keasbey Nights...revisisted

    Album: Keasbey Nights *

Blog post image preview That’s right boys and girls, Streetlight Manifesto has rerecorded Keasbey Nights (the first, and best Catch 22 album, created pre-streetlight, and arguably one of the best ska albums ever). It’s good. I highly recommend it. “Walking Away” is probably the song I am most pleased with. It alwaqys had potential, but Streetlight plays it wonderfully. ... MORE

Blog post image preview Are there any ska fans in the house?!? If any of you know Streetlight Manifesto, you know the outrageous ordeal they have recently gone through. They were robbed not once, but twice, meaning that their entire tour bus was stolen, then all of their backup equipment. The band stopped functioning for a while, but is now touring with the one and only THE AQUABATS !!! The tour rolls through S.F. with a show at Slim's on May 17th. Go see an awesome show, and help one o... MORE
