This is cool. Spoon did a Daytrotter Session and you can download four cool Spoon songs over at Daytrotter.com. In addition to one of my face Spoon songs of all time, "I Can See The Dude," the studio version of which appears on the Soft Effects EP of some years back, there's a cover of Paul Simon's "Peace Like A River," and new versions of "The Ghost of You Lingers" and "Back To The Life." Check them all out: http://www.daytrotter.com/article/1322/spoon
It's been ten long years since I made serious strides to listen to decent music. We're talking 1998. I'll admit it; when I was a college kid (10 years ago), I liked some pretty mediocre stuff. It was also the year I started to check out some pretty cool shit. Since we're 10 years separated from the good, the bad and quite honestly, the embarrassing, I thought it was high time to share some of the stuff I was obsessed with, some of the stuff I really didn't care for and... It seems that putting a piece of the 1995 Hum song 'Stars' in a Cadillac commercial could be starting a trend of cool music in car ads. (Although, Grey's Anatomy star Kate Walsh deserves her share of credit for that one's success).
Now Acura has a similar sexy, big city style ad featuring the 2005 Spoon song "My Mathematical Mind." Both great bands. It's nice to see artists like these getting paid.
P.S. Long live Hum. Look them up.
listening to old spoon songs. well not that old. girls can tell album. i really loved this album when it first came out and every once in a while i find myself listening to it. lines in the suit is one of my favorite spoon songs.

Austin, Texas rocker's Spoon's video for their song "Don't You Evah" of the group's most recent album Ga Ga Ga Ga Ga.
"...Robot Dance Video Evar!"
I most certainly agree with BotJunkie.
UPDATE: Video is still available here.
This video was sponsored by WIRED after Keepon’s wildly successful (in Japan) music debut .... Sadly, you can’t buy Keepon, since he’s a research robot, but the designers are working on a similar bot called Roillo who should have similar capabilities and may become commercially available.
I could blow off work all day watching this.
2007... oh man. So many concert tickets. So many concerts. So many freebies. The last free cd I received was an 'advanced' copy of In Rainbows from Filter. The last concert I attended was also the first of 2008... depending on how you look at it. I rang in the New Year with Spoon! All thanks to email lists and UR Chicago! I found out the night after my holiday party, as my friend was trying to convince me to go to a concert in Dearborn, MI. I was telling her how I was going... MORE
