Sigur Rós make landscape music. It’s kinetic, progressive, scenic, responsive, complimentary. Subtle, yet emotive and powerful, the Icelandic group’s fifth album, med sud i eyrum vid spilum endalaust (which translates to "with a buzz in our ears we play endlessly"), is not drastically different from Sigur Rós’s previous work. The new Sigur Rós album, með suð í eyrum við spilum endalaust, which we understand via our friends at Stereogum means ("with a buzz in our ears we play endlessly"), is due out in most of the world June 23 and the U.S. June 24. Here's a track off it.
