Two Nicely Strange Musical Pieces

Artist:
Album:
Track:
Other Tags: 99 Rooms, windows, Sounds, computer art, surrealism
Blog post image preview First, we have this little bit of strangeness - a two-minute musical composition composed using solely Windows system sound files.     After that, we have a neat little piece of eye- and ear-candy. (It sort of reminds me - in a less creepy way - of the interactive surrealist art site, 99 Rooms, that i posted about some time back...)

A Bug or a Feature? You Decide...

Artist:

Other Tags: mog, post, update, edit, wtf?
Okay, so i just edited a post of mine from two years ago (to update a URL, since my domain is now electronictiger.net, not electronictiger.com).

And when i hit "Publish", it put it right at the top of the posts on my "My Mog" page - as if it were a brand-new post ... but it still says it was posted in July 2006.

Will other people see it there? Did the folks who trust me get a notification that i have published a new post (aside from this one)? Click here to go to my websit... MORE

I May Go Missing for a Few Days...

Artist:
Album:
Track:
Other Tags: Computer, CPU, motherboard, kaput

Our computer appears to be on the point of faiure - i think we need either a new CPU or a new motherboard, which, with everything else around here, we can't afford... So MOG may not be hearing from me for a few days or a few weeks. (While it pains me to admit it, fixing the van, which allows me to do things that are merely useful and necessary, comes ahead of fixing the computer, which allows me to do enjoyable things and have some semblance of a life, and our funds are... Laws Threaten Innovation in 2007

Bad Laws that Congress Has Recently Either Proposed (Or Even, God Help Us, Passed):

Remember the big hooha over the DRM system that Sony tried to push on us - the one that included a rootkit that anyone who knew about could use to hide Bad Things on your computer in a way that anti-virus programs would never find them?
Get this:
One potentially killer law that has passed the U.S. House of Representatives is the SPY Act (also known as th

musical advent calander (window 15......its not harry potter but it is wizzard)

(21)
Blog post image preview At number 10 Roy Wood and Wizzard - I Wish It Could Be Christmas Everyday I Wish It Could Be Christmas Everyday is a popular Christmas song in the UK, first released in 1973 by Wizzard, when it reached #4 in the singles chart, famously beaten to #1 by Slade's Merry Xmas Everybody which remained there for five consecutive weeks. As with all Wizzard songs, it was penned and produced by Roy Wood, who played most (if not all) of the instruments too. The song features t... MORE

From PC Magazine online:
Review: ThreatFire Torches Malware
It doesn't take a lot to open up your computer to malware threats. Thankfully, PC Tools' ThreatFire 3 blocks malware (including zero-day threats) by analyzing program behavior, and it does a better job than many signature-based products. Add its free protection to your security arsenal--but should you pay extra for the less-effective scan-and-clean Pro edition? Read the full review on PCMag.com to decide.

ABout E-Mail Virus Warnings: They:re usually Hoaxes

Artist:

This was written as a comment to a post by RGM entitled * Share Panda Internet Security 2007 warning: : BOGUS! For instance, snopes, com, referenced in the e-mail says, "about the "Invitation virus:
The classics never go away, it seems, so just in time for the 2006 Winter Olympics someone has dusted off an old virus warning hoax (most commonly seen in its incarnation as the "[Virtual] Card for You" hoax) and reintroduced it as an "Olympic Torch" virus warning (also known
