I hesitate to say that I can die happy now, because that would mean that my life has peaked relatively early, but Radiohead can officially do no wrong in my book.
If you have not seen them live, please get on that. It is an experience not to be missed, especially on this tour. The LED lights they use are a bunch of rods that fall across the entire stage and colors are reflected in them from huge spotlights at the top. When they light up with each different song, i... MORE

Well this is a first, but then with Radiohead firsts are the norm. Thom Yorke isn't exactly telling Radiohead fans to go out and buy the band's The Best Of album. Why? "We haven't really had any hits so what exactly is the purpose?" Yorke rationalizes.
Back it up though and you might remember that Radiohead's The Best Of album is the final album fulfillment on the band's record contract with their former label EMI , which didn't end on good terms. The album, available a... MORE

Umm, yeah I'm a few days late on this one, but actually I'm lucky I saw it at all. If I hadn't been glued to the damn I Love the 80's 3D I would have never even known VH1 was showing some live performance Radiohead at Midnight this past Saturday. And it was crazy good. I didn't like the way they cut it up, song, commercial, song, commercial etc.. but it was still way cool. It was really cool to see how they layer and create their sounds. Anybody else see it? This ve... MORE

Radiohead teamed up with MTV to create a video about human trafficking and exploitation. 2 stories are presented simultaneously and set to their song "All I Need." It just premiered today: NME quoted Thom Yorke as saying:
"They've produced a video of two parallel stories running, one of a little boy in the West and one of a little boy in a sweatshop in the East, and the boy (in the West) ends up buying the shoes from the sweatshop. It's actually quite p

Radiohead are giving Jack Johnson and Dave Matthews a run for the most eco-conscious rocker title. Last year the band hooked up with carbon footprint analysts Best Foot Forward and figured out the amount of carbon generated on their two previous US tours. But before you rule 'em out at geeks the report showed that fans' travel to and from the shows accounted for the greatest proportion of the CO2 emissions during the tours.
Instead of not touring, which would es... MORE

When I was five and would pull the brat card, my mom would always say things like "You don't know how lucky you have it." This statement usually was followed by lectures on starving children in Africa, orphans who need clothes and other scenario's that would scare the bejesus out of me and make me put the Cabbage Patch doll quietly back on the Toys R Us shelf ...and make me determined to be the 1st grader who raised the most coin in their orange UNICEF box. Radiohead's... MORE

While the world may never know how much Radiohead banked off their "name-your-price" sales model for In Rainbows, the band's seventh studio album, frontman Thom Yorke is saying the band won't do it again, perhaps indicating it wasn't enough.
"I think it was a one-off response to a particular situation," Yorke told The Hollywood Reporter of the innovative In Rainbows sales model. The "particular situation" was Radiohead's departure from their long-time record label... MORE

Almost as if in response to Metallica's u-turn on free digital downloads, Radiohead frontman Tom Yorke was quoted as saying he does not expect his band to repeat the 'experiment' it launched by releasing In Rainbows as a "pay-what-you-will" digital download.
"Yes. It was a one-off in terms of a story. It was one of those things where we were in the position of everyone asking us what we were going to do. I don't think it would have the same significance now anyway, if we... MORE

A few weeks back I vented my disappointment over how few shows Radiohead were playing this summer and how most of these shows were major festivals. Last night while performing for on Late Nite With Conan O'Brien, as part of NBC 's Green Week, googly-eyed frontman Thom Yorke shed some light on the lackluster tour schedule, and why he and his band choose to tape the performance in a studio in the U.K. instead of flying over for the gig. "The reason we're not there is bec... MORE

Plugged In is now online with over 10,000 videos from Universal Music Group, Sony BMG , and EMI artists. The big companies obviously want more control (and money) over how their music videos are viewed.
Although the clips feature much higher resolution than YouTube, none of them are embeddable on external websites (they just don't get it do they?).
From my quick visit to the website, I must say it's nice seeing large clear videos, but the entire community feel of... MORE

Radiohead have done it again. This time the band that's changing the industry made an innovative way back onto the Billboard Hot 100, where their latest In Rainbows single "Nude" is currently 37. (According to Billboard "Nude" is the band's first appearance on this chart since "High & Dry" in 1996.)
About a week and a half ago Radiohead decided to hold a fan remix contest for "Nude." Fans were encouraged to purchase stems (the bass beat, the vocals, etc.) on ... MORE

So backstage at SXSW , I tried to get Perry, the mastermind behind Lollapalooza, to spill the beans about the festival's line-up. Now that we know that it's ungodly insane: Radiohead, Rage Against the Machine, Nine Inch Nails, Kayne, Wilco, Broken Social Scene, and the list goes on, what he says here makes a hell of a lot of sense. Enjoy! PS Charley posted a cool vid about lolla's line up too here: http://mog.com/Charley_Rogulewski/blog_post/154722 PP... MORE
