I'm in a Paul McCartney mood. Today I finished checking out a documentary on the making of Chaos and Creation in the Backyard that my old buddy Rich had recommended I watch. We were at Ralphs, our local grocery store, shopping last night when this Paul McCartney song came on the store radio station. It's been ages since I've heard this one from Chaos and Creation in the Backyard. At the time, Chaos was Paul's comeback album. Paul's outdoor performance Monday night in front of tens of thousands in the Ukranian capital of Kiev was nothing short of amazing. From Paul McCartney's historic show in Liverpool comes his first ever live performance of A Day in the Life. The ironic thing is that he nails every one of John's parts and messes up his "made the bus in seconds flat" part. The big surprise was the addition of Give Peace a Change as a coda to A Day in the Life. I love seeing Yoko and Olivia singing along and giving the peace signs as Paul and his band sang. Everyone enjoys a sing-a-long and if you've ever been to a Paul McCartney concert than you know that Macca loves it when you sing along with him.
"In Spite of All the Danger" is one of the first recordings John, Paul and George made before they formed The Beatles. This is a rare live/acoustic performance recorded in Espana.

I paid for Paul McCartney's Memory Almost Full. Why? Because every time I walked into Starbucks I was accosted by that "Ever Present Past"'s ididadoodah and it sounded good. So, yeah, I'm a little P.O.ed that the folks in London will able to pick up the May 18th edition of the Mail On Sunday, a UK version of The New York Post, and whip out the album for FREE.
