Heheh, I can't keep sitting on this, without sharing some more. This song starts off sort of reminding me of Wild Mood Swings era The Cure as far as the music goes, but of course in a very Kevin Barnes sort of way. Then it morphs into something else... How one book, one concept, inspire a lifetime of muses, questions, and illusions. I have to thank Breathmint for the tip on this one. And of course the ever vigilant Micheal Goldberg has seen this coming and he posted a most excellent track. Of Montreal's Skeletal lamping is alysergic brew of skewed lyrics, strange affecting music and a "devil may care" (but we don't) attitude. From the lead-off track NonPareil of Love To the insanely glorius Id Engager, Of Montreal offer a refreshing breath of neo-psychedelic fun.

Well, I made it to Oregon alive; however, I'd have to say I found the real challenge to be making it back in one piece. But I am in fact back. The list of nominees for the 2008 PLUG awards, dedicated to recognizing media and music in the independent community, has been announced. The top nominees for this year are Of Montreal, Battles, Dan Deacon.
