"It's like nothing anybody has ever seen," says a fan that went to Kanye West's Glow "In The Dark" tour opener last night (April 16th) at Seattle's Key Arena. There are muppets and a light show created by the man behind Daft Punk's mind-blowing pyramid tour last summer. And at the center of it all...Mr. West, traveling through space, who never fails to entertain. West performed an eighteen song set in ninety-minutes last night with songs from all three of his albums.

You can complain all you want...You can talk shit all you want.....I think he's become a bloated, egocentric piece of shit, too, but Kanye owned the Grammys Sunday night. His performance with Daft Punk was fucking cool, and it trumped Amy Winehouse and Feist to become the highlight of the night. Funny how he sorta embodies all that it wrong with the music industry while fighting so hard to bite the hand that feeds him, all at the same time.... hmm. Enjoy.... MORE

ok, fess up. who are the bands and musicians you cannot stand? sure, you can hate them music-wise. but it's even more interesting if you like their music, but just hate them. take kanye west for instance. i'm the first to say that his new album is incredible. but the problem is... i have no respect for kanye west. he is completely arrogant. so are the members of hinder. now, their music isn't amazing, but it's a guilty pleasure of mine. how about you... Mr. TroyPowers posted "Can You Hear the Difference" a couple weeks ago, and since then I read that Ye had somethin like 16 different versions of "Stronger" done.
For what it's worth, I also think the first version I heard was better than the album version, but apparently the drums weren't bangin like they were supposed to (in the club). Either way, it's interesting to see the work behind the music. Plus Timbo is a genius with drum machines. (I tried to embed, but no ... MORE

HOT HOT HOT !!! This new video RULEZ ! I like this version better than anything I've ever heard by either artist individually. It takes the amazing energy of Daft Punk's electronica and the hard-hitting vocals and images of Kanye West. What would it take to get these guys to form a supergroup and put out whole albums of this stuff?

Let me preface this by saying I think Kanye's new album is great. Much better than 50's. But, I'm a little peeved that he messed up my favorite song. No, not Homecoming. Stronger.
See, the main reason I was in love with Stronger was the drums. Man, Kanye made those drums talk. I just love the pattern of the kick. Nice work, 'Ye. But, for some reason, he decided to change the kick pattern for the album version (assuming that the internet leak is truly the album vers... MORE

So I love Kanye West. Love him.
And some people love him too. And some people think he's bullshit. I swear it goes one way or the other when I bring him up.
BUT . When I visited Vancouver BC they had a hip hop show on their music tv channel and I saw the Stronger video and I was soooo mesmerized by the song. oh man. loveeed it. Partly I love it because I love daft punk, and they wrote "harder better faster stronger," the track played in the back of this song. And of cou... MORE

Recently, Kanye released a video for "Stronger," the second single from his upcoming album Graduation. When I watched the video for the first time, there was a scene that reminded me of the classic anime film Akira. However, it's been quite a while since I watched that film. An article I found shows that the whole video, not just the sequence I recognized, is a homage/take-off on Akira. Check out the link above and then watch the video again: Of ... MORE

To be honest, I don't really dig Kanye West that much. Sure I can see why people are so high on him, but to me his music can get a bit dull sometimes.
So to hear that he sampled Daft Punk on his latest single? Now that got me interested. After hearing it for the 5th time, well I must admit it's quite catchy, But that doesn't mean that I'm gonna go out & buy West's new album....yet.... MORE

I am eagerly anticipating the release of Kanye West's new album Graduation. However, I have to admit that I am a bit underwhelmed by the first single and video “Can't Tell Me Nothing.” It's not a bad song or anything but it just pales in comparison to the first singles off his previous two albums. “Through The Wire” was compelling for multiple reasons from the circumstances surrounding it to the great beat and the courage it took to actually release a song where he... So i got ahold of the Kanye West mixtape Can't Tell Me Nothin today through a friend of mine. I'm not really sure when it was officially released, but it was recorded Friday and i know it was posted on DatPiff today. There are a few pretty good tracks, but the one that really got me excited was this little snippet from a track on the upcoming album Graduation. The song's called "Stronger" and the sample is Daft Punk's "Harder, Better, Faster, Stronger" ... DOPE ... MORE

...and I guess in continuation from the last post, here's a snippet of the aforementioned Kanye West jam "Stronger" featuring Daft Punk's "Harder, Faster, Stronger, Better". I want the whole thing! Anyway check it out! ..."you could be my black kate moss tonight."... MORE
