John Charles Julian Lennon known universally as Julian Lennon, (born April 8, 1963 in Liverpool, England) is an English singer, songwriter, musician, and first son of Beatle John Lennon and the only child of his first wife Cynthia Lennon. His godfather was Beatles manager Brian Epstein. His father's nickname for him was "JCJ". He was named after John Lennon's late mother, Julia.

Julian Lennon, the son of the late Beatle John Lennon, has sold a hefty percent of his financial interest in the Beatles' publishing, according to the Wall Street Journal. The rights were sold to Primary Wave Music Publishing, a year-old New York City company. Details have not been revealed.
