When we went to Venice we stayed in the small town, 45 minutes away, called Mira. We had to take this bus from Mira to Venice. And on the way to combat my motion sickness I would play James latest Hey Ma. Hey Ma will always be the soundtrack from my journey to Venice. After a 7 year hiatus James is back and is proposing "Hey Ma", their tenth studio album that brings back the anthemic songs borne by Tim Booth's soaring voice, the jangly guitars, the trumpet embellishments, the original lyrics.
"Hey Ma" is an impressive comeback for James, probably as good as or even better than "Laid".

The song I simply need to hear right now is "Sit Down" by James. It's so good I'll even forgive singer Tim Booth's hat, which looks just plain ridiculous on him.

Crazy day here in Minnesota, actually not really. What I did notice was the fact that on top of my top albums this month was the title 70's Porn Music Various Artists. As much as I would love to own this album, it is nowhere in my collection. I have seen some crazy things on MOG, this one took the cake. To celebrate I give you a classic to listen to, an album I just found out I will be getting in the next few days courtesy of lala.com.

Today I have been moderating our website helping everyone with RECLAIMING THEIR BANK CHARGES. We do it for FREE. We don't like banks very much so we are helping people claim back £1,000's. So I own a 30GB Ipod (the best gift I ever got) and at the moment I am trying to update it with more diverse music. I got it last Christmas and filled it up within 3 months with all the music I downloaded in 2004 - 2005. I also put on any music that I had burned onto my laptop from my CD collection (this included mostly music I burned for other people and never took off the computer). I was thinking today about the genre of songs that just make me happy to listen to them. There is something about the lyrics or music or both which cheers me right up and makes me smile.
